Ministries of Foreign Affairs: If you travel to Finland, please note:

Australian travelers warned about freezing temperatures in Finland. Winters are extremely cold and there is a lot of snow, even in metropolitan areas.The bulletin also states that Finland experiences severe storms, landslides, floods and strong winds.

Italia 

In Italy, people are advised to be prepared for train delays in Finland. Therefore, travelers are advised to bring water and snacks.

UK
The UK travel advisory stresses that drink driving is a serious crime in Finland and can even result in a prison sentence. In addition, the alcohol limit for drunk driving in Finland is significantly lower than in Britain.
Travellers to Finland are also told that part of Finland is located above the Arctic Circle, and there
are warnings about the risk of being attacked by polar bears.

   Canada 
Canada's travel advisory for Finland advises against contact with animals that may spread disease.
It lists stray dogs, monkeys, snakes, rodents, birds and bats as such. 
The advisory also advises against caves, as they may contain animal waste that can spread disease.
Canadian citizens are also advised to stay away from forest fire areas.


France

The French have been involved in so many accidents with snowmobiles in Finland that the country's travel bulletin warns against it.
The French travel bulletin warns against snowmobile driving. According to it, French people travelling in Finland have snowmobile accidents every year, some of which have been serious.
The French are also warned against speeding. The bulletin says that speeding is punishable by heavy fines and that the fines are determined by both the speeding and the driver's income. 
They can therefore amount to thousands of euros. 

Germany
The German press release advises that drinking alcohol in public places is prohibited, but is usually tolerated as long as it does not cause a disturbance.

It also reminds that one and two cent euro coins are not accepted in Finland. It is therefore advisable to have at least five cents worth of coins on hand.
